Hypergro · Conversational AI · Growth

Turning interest into a useful sales conversation.

Prospects were dropping out between showing interest and reaching a qualified conversation. The product needed to understand intent and help people take the next step.

Role
Director of Product Management
Product scope
Voice agents, RAG qualification and the demo journey

01 / The situation

Qualified demand was leaking between interest, product entry and a booked conversation.

Growth volume did not matter if the product could not identify intent and move the right prospects forward.

02 / Ownership

Where I was involved.

I owned the product strategy, conversation design and release coordination across product, design and engineering.

Owned product strategy, conversation design, prompts and microcopy, automation boundaries, cross-functional alignment and the release cadence across product, design and engineering.

03 / The product decision

Where should automation hand over?

Reducing friction in qualification while preserving human judgment when the conversation needs it.

Use product and customer context to ground voice-agent qualification, with a deliberate handoff for high-intent or uncertain conversations.

04 / The work

How the pieces fit together.

The product connected voice agents with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG): using relevant product and customer information to ground the conversation.

My scope included prompts, conversation flows, microcopy and the boundary between automation and a human handoff. Product, design and engineering delivered the journey together.

Demo entry and lead-to-demo conversion were the commercial measures attached to the work. They describe different stages of the funnel, so they should be considered separately.

The qualification journey
  1. Customer interestUnderstand the prospect’s intent
  2. Voice + product contextGround qualification with RAG
  3. Human handoffKeep judgment in the workflow
  4. Demo entryMeasure movement through the funnel
Reconstructed overview of the published workflow. The handoff is an automation boundary, not a claim that every conversation follows one fixed path.

05 / Results in context

What changed.

The reported result was three times as many demo entries. The work also improved lead-to-demo conversion; a detailed funnel comparison is not included in this public summary.

06 / The takeaway

What I carry forward.

A useful AI workflow makes the next step easier and keeps a clear place for human judgment.
